About Pastor Mark Wamala
Irresisitable Grace Ministry’s vision was given to Pastor Mark Wamala in 1985 soon after he had accepted Jesus as Saviour and Lord on 6 January1985. Then he founded the ministry in 1988 having graduated with a (B.A.) degree in Biblical Theology from East Africa School of Theology (EAST) in Nairobi, Kenya and latter with B.A (Hons) from Potchefstroom University in South Africa.
From then he is the Apostolic Leader of the Ministry.
Pastor Mark married Margaret Wamala on 11 December1993 and has three children, Victor, Michael and Martin.
With a team of faithful and dedicated ministers, they work together to fulfill the vision.
Leadership Message
What a privilege to be called a leader of God’s people. The grace of God has seen you rise to a position of influence in the domain of society and church of Jesus Christ. Many people all over the world look in many corners for leadership and models of leaders. But the greatest book ever written on Leadership is the Bible. Given this fact in mind it is important to share some of the Leadership principles that I have found in the Bible and have contributed to the success of my Ministry.
- LEADERS LEAD AS THEY FOLLOW
The Bible clearly teaches that those led by the Holy Spirit are the sons of God. Romans 8:14.
By virtue of being a leader of God’s people you are challenged to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.
For Moses it was the cloud during the day and a pillar of fire during the night nor wonder he is looked to as one of the greatest leaders in the Old Testament.
I have learnt to listen to the prompting of the Spirit within me and today have testimonies of victory because I followed Him.
- LEADERS INVEST IN OTHERS
When you undertake the responsibilities of Leadership, it is expected of you to get the people under your Leadership from one level to another - one glory to another.
This comes with a challenge of emptying your self into others. You must be willing to share all you are and have to elevate others. For Abraham, he went to an extent of telling Lot to make a choice “If you go to the left I will go to the right”... Genesis 13:9. Allowing him the privilege of choosing first, Abraham knew God can work with him even with the leftovers. Invest in others the best- of the word, time, food, finances… God has a lot more in store for you.
- LEADER’S ASSIGNMENT IS BIGGER THAN THE LEADER:
God called Leaders have a bigger assignment than what they are in terms of financial background, Educational background, Family background and National background. This is why always people will come up to wonder as who has accomplished the work in your ministry.
At one time Abraham thought if he only got an heir that is enough (Genesis 15:3).But God had a great assignment through him, He had planned to make him into a great nation. How often do we loose a bigger vision and settle for a lesser one?
Go for God’s assignment even if you don’t know many answers to accomplish the work.
- LEADER’S REWARD IS GOD.
Every human being when he has done the work he expects reward. He has to be appreciated. In fact this is a common question before embarking on any assignment today. “How do I benefit”. Jesus has promised us to be rewarded, 30, 60 and 100 fold in our endeavors and in Ministry.
But in Genesis 15:1 God assures Abraham too that “I am your shield, your very great reward”.
At the back of every leader’s mind there should be God who rewards, even if tangible rewards don’t meet the expectation of the eye and time. God remains the leader’s reward.
